The Essington School Darwin

Students are on a weekly individual contract. As part of that contract, students are required to update and write in their diaries daily of what stage they are up to on their contract. Diaries need to be signed by parents every Thursday night (to show the teacher Friday morning) for contract to be completed successfully at the end of the week.

Weekly contract (standard) work consists of:

Diary parent signature/adequate student usage

Poetry homework (genre focus for the term)

Dictionary skills

Proof read and editing (“GOLD”)

Reading and Comprehension task from student workbook

Mathletics and Spellodrome (ongoing) computer programs

Maths homework (depending what stage student is at – check diary)
